U.S. Postal Service Cited After Heat-Related Worker Fatality in Southern California

An employee of the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) suffered hyperthermia while delivering mail in high heat conditions. OSHA cited the postal service for failing to establish work practices to protect mail carriers from heat hazards, and keep records of heat stress incidents. USPS faces $149,664 in penalties.
