OSHA has reached a settlement agreement with Acme Parts Inc. to improve workplace safety and health at the company’s facility in Brooklyn. OSHA found high levels of lead throughout the facility presenting serious hazards to employees. Under the terms of the agreement, Acme Parts will pay $40,000 in penalties. Additionally, the company will hire a qualified lead hazards and abatement consultant to evaluate the facility and to recommend improved practices.
