Commercial Building Contractor Cited for Exposing Workers to Fall Hazards at Missouri Jobsite

Missouri

DDG Construction Services, Inc., faces $98,693 in penalties for exposing workers to fall hazards. OSHA cited the company for failing to provide workers with personal fall protection, and ensure an aerial lift was equipped with fall safety systems. The company has been cited for numerous fall violations since 2014.

OSHA inspectors also cited the company for failing to ensure the attachment of fall safety systems to an aerial lift to protect employees working at heights, and failing to provide eye protection. OSHA has cited DDG Construction Services Inc. for more than 15 fall violations since 2014.

“Falls are preventable when required safety measures are taken,” said OSHA’s Kansas City Area Director Karena Lorek. “Employers must develop and implement safety procedures to ensure that employees are protected from falls and other workplace safety hazards.”
