Kansas Grain Company Reaches Settlement to Improve Safety at 20 Facilities

KansasOSHA and Bartlett Grain Company LP have reached a settlement agreement that requires the company to implement safeguards, training, and audit procedures at its 20 grain handling facilities. The company will pay $182,000 in penalties. The settlement resolves contested citations issued after six individuals died and two others were injured in a grain elevator explosion in April 2012. For more information, read the news release.
